Beyond the white coat
My wife is also a pharmacist, and together we’re raising three kids. I’ve been diving deeper into Catholicism lately and spending a lot of time thinking about the systems and habits that make for a good, long life. Hence my only partly joking goal of becoming a centenarian Olympian. When I need a break from optimizing everything, I like going back home to Somerset and disconnecting.
I guess systems are the common thread. I like knowing how things work, and I hate when an unnecessary middleman makes something more expensive or complicated. That’s true whether it’s a PBM, a credit card company, or a government bureaucracy. Pharmacy is where I actually built an alternative. Bitcoin, technology, transportation, and policy are other places where I see the same opportunity.
I like people who build things and challenge assumptions.
